Welcome!

Welcome to my site. I'm a law professor, musician, theology buff, and, most importantly, a husband and dad. Here you'll find information about my legal scholarship, teaching, and other interests.

Legal Scholarship

My legal scholarship focus on the law, norms and economics of intellectual property and information. In many ways, I consider myself a "Critical Information Studies" scholar, but much of my work focuses on biologically encoded information. Please visit my Legal Scholarship page to learn more about my published and in-progress work on international technology policy and biotechnology law.

Teaching

My teaching focuses on intellectual property and tort law. I am an Associate Professor of Law at Seton Hall University Law School, and serve in the law school's Gibbons Institute of Law, Science & Technology.

If you are a student in one of my courses, visit my Teaching page for information about a specific course.

Before entering academe, I was a Partner in the Intellectual Property / Information Technology group at McCarter & English, LLP.

Music

I'm a guitarist, vocalist and producer. I've been playing guitar for nearly thirty years. I also write songs. See my Music page for more information.

Theology

Theology is one of my driving passions. See my Theology page, and also my Through a Glass Darkly blog, for more information.
